Normally - from Ford. :wink:
The license is a normal installation package (the package type identifier is xxxx-14G424-xx.) There is another license for each type of map installed, i.e. the F6.1 map for version 2.3 has a different license than the F6.1 map for version 3.0.

The license ID is analogous to the map package ID.

The original version 3.2 (not specially prepared by a4tech colleague ...) can't be installed in any way on a normal Sync3 ...
Version 3.2 is the software for the "new generation Sync3 (Sync4?)" - with significant changes in the system structure concept. This "new generation" is not backward compatible ...

But I don‘t really want to believe that Ford will keep F7 Maps only for newer Sync3 APIMs. What about customers with Sync3 units from mid 2016 till late 2017? No map support? Got my S-Max with 04/14 maps 10/2016. :<
