Yes, this information is correct. SYNC2 (MyFordTouch in the US) does not support AppLink and we have no information from Ford about plans for SYNC2 to support AppLink in the future. SYNC1 with AppLink and all SYNC3 systems (just announced in the US) support the additional Spotify functionality that AppLink provides. For SYNC2, we recommend using the standard Bluetooth source to listen to Spotify.
