A friend of mine has the exactly same problem after cleaning the throttle valve. (Mondeo mk4 2.0 145HP Petrol)
Tried PCM adaptation reset for several times, battery disconnect, positiv plug to engine, even updated PCM to the latest calibration "CK" version.
Didn't not helped. Maybe someone can help.

Hi,
try again:
- Unplug the battery for 48H;
- turn off all unnecessary receivers (I leave the climatronic on);
- start the car on PB and leave it idling for about 5 minutes;
- increase the speed to 1800 for about 5 minutes;
- successively increase the speed to about 2200 for about 5 minutes;
- drive at least 100km on gasoline (if you have a fuel other than PB);
Disconnecting my battery for less than 48 hours does not erase the throttle memory.
